Ayurveda, known as the oldest science in the world, describes the exact method of eating a person. According to this, in earlier times, the meal was ended with curd rice. Have you ever thought about the reason behind this?!?

Research has shown that eating curd rice increases brain function...
Yogurt contains a chemical called tryptophan that the human body needs. But surprisingly, this chemical is not produced in the human body. This means that your body gets this chemical from what you eat. Serotonin and melatonin are chemicals that are produced when it is mixed with other components of the body. Its serotonin is very good for brain function. It should make your mood better, your sleep better. There are benefits such as increased attachment and memory. Tryptophan has to reach the blood that goes into the brain to increase brain function. It's not as simple as other chemicals. For that to happen, tryptophan has to be decomposed with carbohydrates. With the help of carbohydrates, tryptophan reaches the brain's blood.

Now the question is...
Why should you eat curd with rice when you are told carbohydrates..? The main reason for this is that rice is high in carbohydrates. Therefore, eating yogurt rice produces more serotonin in the brain. By doing so, you help increase brain function. So from now on, at the end of the meal, a little curd rice.

Beet Avocado Salad

 Beet roots are becoming household favorites. Here is one of the favorites salad -


Ingredients:
  1. Cooked Beet Root - 2 Cups
  2. Avocado - 2 Large
  3. Fresh Tomato - 1 Cups - Variety of your choice - I am using cherry tomatoes.
  4. Red Onion - 1/4 Small
  5. Goat Cheese - 4 oz
  6. Balsamic Vinaigrette - as per your taste
  7. Salt and Black Pepper - as per your taste

Optional:
  1. Extra Virgin Olive Oil- 1 TSP
  2. Arugula - handful

Method:
  1. Cooked Beet root by peeling off skin.
  2. Wash and chop all the vegetables.
  3. Layer beet root, tomato, onion, avocado, goat cheese on top of spring mix. Drizzle balsamic vinaigrette and EVOO if using. Sprinkle salt and freshly crushed black pepper.
